Med Care Outreach, Inc. serves older adults and their families, and we want every visitor to be able to use this website comfortably - including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, or larger text. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.
What we do to keep this site accessible
- Large, readable base text throughout the site, with strong color contrast between text and backgrounds.
- Full keyboard support: every menu, form, accordion, and the chat window can be operated without a mouse, with visible focus outlines. The Escape key closes the chat window.
- Semantic headings, labeled form fields, and status messages that screen readers announce.
- Meaningful text descriptions for images that convey information.
- Large touch targets for buttons and links, helpful on phones and tablets.
- Reduced-motion support: the site respects your device's "reduce motion" setting.
- The site works with your browser's zoom - text and layout remain usable at 200% zoom.
- No autoplaying audio or video, no flashing content, and no third-party tracking scripts.
